In the fall of the 34th year of the New Era, the Grand Duke of the city of Miroslavl died. The reign of the dynasty, which led the genealogy from the depths of time, is over. Having no legal heirs, the prince wanted to leave the subject lands to a worthy person. Legends said that the magic of the Titans knew how to choose their master, and the prince entrusted the fate of the new dynasty to the treasure of ancient times.
For how many years they have been talking about "Prince 3" (about five years, no less), but only now the words have begun to turn into something tangible. It has been known about the development of the Poki game for a long time - for the third year now, the public is being fed with promises, and instead of something significant, they give out only mere crumbs of information marked "above". We tried to put it all together - what will "Prince 3" be?
In the original " Knyaz " we were looking for parts of the amulet, in "Knyaz 2" - a dagger and a phial, in "Knyaz 3", according to the plot, we will have to look for a heroic sword. There were as many as six applicants for the treasures of Vladyka Miroslavl.
It is not known how nationalities will influence the plot - in the very first " Prince " the heroes have their own line, but this is played up - each nation got one piece of a magic amulet. In "Prince 3" there is only one artifact, and the city too. In addition, last year, the developers said that the characters will differ not only in the available characteristics and skills, but also "something else." Most likely, we will be able to search for the Heroic Sword from three different sides.
The role-playing system has not changed much in comparison with the previous parts of the series - it is still the same set of "agility", "strength", "endurance", but because of magic, a new characteristic has appeared - "intelligence". Each main attribute is responsible for several skills: for example, "intelligence" is needed to brew a potion and forge armor, and "strength" is useful when using melee weapons. The blacksmiths and medicine men walking around the world, however, also remained - so the story with useless skills from " Prince 2 " can easily repeat itself.
If the first (and the second too) "Prince" was called a Diablo clone, then the new Poki game has gone far enough from the "devil" model. Although the main craft of the hero is murder, enemies will not be conventional containers for gold and magic items. So, for example, from any animal only trophies and useful materials will fall out, from which you can then make some valuable item. Weapons, artifacts and gold will have to be mined in other ways: removed from ordinary people or excavated from the ground - the treasure system remains the same.
The fighting between the cities remained. At the beginning, all the settlements are neutral towards the main character, but during the Poki game you can take several villages under your wing. The easiest way is open attack. It is worth destroying all the guards and defenseless residents instantly recognize the ruler in the hero. There is also a peaceful option - if you complete several tasks of the headman, then he himself will offer the hero to work as the main protector. Villages in "Prince 3" are used in the same way as in previous Poki games of the series - this is a very good way to earn money (settlements pay tribute), plus blacksmiths repair on their own territory, and healers treat for free. This is especially important when there are several people in the squad.
Each village has a specific set of buildings. The forge allows you to set up the production of weapons, and the vigilantes train in the barracks. You cannot buy and sell without a shop. Apparently, the villages will not have all possible buildings, so the player will have to build something. But you still need to find workers - for a certain fee (or task) you can hire a specialist and bring him to your place. Mercenaries, like the player, have levels - a blacksmith's apprentice is unlikely to be able to repair a thing with high quality, but the master will make it even better than it was.
Owners of not very powerful computers can rejoice - the Poki game will start and will work fine even on laptops (albeit with discrete video). On the other hand, this is alarming, since low requirements are fraught with outdated and untechnological graphics, and this can easily scare off many players. Especially those who have spent enough time in the vastness of Ancient Greece in Titan Quest.
Despite all the assurances and promises of the developers, the alarm for "Prince 3" does not go away. Although words began to turn into facts, there is little sense from this - much is still a secret, there is no Poki game video, there are only a dozen screenshots and those. This is despite the fact that the working alpha version was ready at the beginning of last year. It is not clear why the developers hide information about the Poki game so carefully - maybe because there is nothing to show?
