Habitat for Humanity Detroit is in the midst of its 2014 Fall Blitz Build in the Morningside Commons Neighborhood on Detroit’s east side. They aim to complete the construction of seven homes in seven days with the help of over 2,000 volunteers who look to provide low-income families with safe, affordable, energy-efficient housing.

“This is a remarkable undertaking and seeing their worksite firsthand is just so impressive,” said Les Gold, “it makes such a tangible difference in our city, one house and one family at a time.” In his interview with CBS News, Les went on to say “I’m good at concrete masonry, in real life, I’ve laid a lot of driveways … I can finish a driveway like nobody’s business.”

Seth was quick to point out that Les’ best attribute was telling people what to do!
